Youth Campus

Our Youth Campus (formerly called Wilderness Camp) offers lodging ideal for youth and young adult groups, from attractive cabins to cozy bunkhouses. Bring your own bedding and towels for all Youth Campus lodging.

Beautiful nature surrounds you here, with a spring-fed pond, nearby mountain streams, and ball field with views of the night sky. It’s easily accessible from the Retreat Center via the one-mile Wilderness Road or by a half-mile walk along Ruffed Grouse Trail. The Youth Campus is the home of our Wilderness Overnight Camp from early June to mid-August, summer Day Camp, and as well as Ignite Youth Retreats. It is available for group retreats the rest of the year.

Youth Campus Options

Upper Cabin Area

The Upper Cabin Area has 8 attractive, modern cabins with heating/air-conditioning: 1 duplex (ADA) cabin and 7 standard cabins. Picnic tables and fire rings are available throughout the area.

Each half of the duplex (ADA) cabin sleeps up to 6 people (3 bunks), plus 1 shower, 1 toilet and 2 sinks per half. Each half can be reserved by different groups of up to 6 each, or one group may reserve the entire cabin for up to 12 people, with a single gender per side. There is an adjoining door between halves, a full-length covered porch and  wheelchair-accessible ramp.

The 7 standard cabins each have 1 main sleeping room with 6 bunks for 12 people, and a small chaperone room with 2 single beds. Each cabin sleeps up to 14 people. There are separate partitions with a shower, toilet & sink, plus 2 stand-alone sinks in each.

Mountain View

Mountain View is a multi-purpose activity center with a full gym, stage with fireplace, state -of-the-art audio visual equipment, plus seven breakout rooms.  It is available for group retreats September through May. For Mountain View details, see our Meeting Rooms page.

Huckleberry Chalet

Huckleberry Chalet sits along the wood’s edge overlooking much of the Youth Campus area. It offers a full kitchen and dining space for making your own meals and snacks, and is air-conditioned. In the downstairs lounge there’s a fireplace, space for table games or holding group devotions. A bathroom is located on each of the three floors. Please bring your own bedding and towels.  The five bedrooms sleep a maximum of 26.

The Barn

The Barn is a rustic bunkhouse ideal for youth and young adult retreats. The main level features a lounge with storage space and central bath/shower rooms for guys and girls. Seven bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of 36 people, are located upstairs. Please bring your own bedding and towels.

Hillside & Brookside Cabins

Hillside and Brookside are two rustic cabins tucked in the woods at the edge of the Youth Campus. Each sleeps up to 12 people, with six bunks apiece, for a total 24 possible with both. Brookside and Hillside offer a front porch, a picnic table, and heat for winter lodging. Bathhouse facilities are available in the Barn (if your group has that reserved) or in the Woodside bathhouse nearby. Please bring your own bedding and towels.

Woodside Bathhouse

This large bathhouse offers plenty of shower and lavatory space. There is a small informal meeting and lounge downstairs, and a small restroom. Typically, guests lodging in Hillside and Brookside Cabins will have access to this facility.

Dining Pavilion

The Dining Pavilion is an informal, four-season facility, warmly heated during cold weather, with the flexibility of an open-air environment during the summer.  Large side windows provide natural lighting and views of the woodland pond.

Single entree’ meal service is offered here, with casual seating at picnic tables.
