Summer Jobs at Spruce Lake Wilderness Camp

Summer Jobs at the Retreat Center:
Children and adults of all ages, physical abilities and occupations enjoy Spruce Lake’s programmed retreats and family campground. These folks are looking for good, clean fun along with Christ-centered spiritual refreshment. What an opportunity to help our guests "meet Christ" as you interact with them!

Summer service openings at the retreat center include:

Programming
• Develop and lead children’s lessons
• Develop and lead evening and late night activities for children of all ages
• Run family friendly activities including carnivals, games, tournaments, and adventure programming

Food Service • Food preparation • Dishwasher • Host • Snack Shop
Housekeeping • Cleaning rooms and public meeting areas • Set up/tear down of meeting rooms

Maintenance
• Lawn Care
• Painting
• Basic Maintenance dependent on skill level

Water Safety
• Watch over pool and/or paddleboats as scheduled
• Pool cleaning and maintenance including pool chairs and bathrooms
• Have current certification or complete the American Red Cross Training course held at Spruce Lake.

Front Office
• Reservations
• Guest Services
• General Office Work

Staff Wages
Modest weekly salary potentials range from $100 - $300 per week, with all lodging and meals provided. The summer staff wage works like this:
• Starting wage range (factors in ) - $100 - $210/wk
(factoring in age, skills, experience, certification, etc.)
• Staff Assistance Program (SAP) - staff-raised - $45/wk. max
• SLR SAP match (dollar for dollar of the amount raised) - $45/wk. max.
